Important Disclaimer
Your IGNIO Flame Box is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, a remarkably durable material designed to withstand high temperatures. It's important to note that stainless steel is expected and designed to flex slightly with heat. This is a normal and anticipated behavior of the material when exposed to the temperatures required for cooking and fire, and it does not affect the performance or longevity of your Flame Box.

How to Build Your IGNIO Flame Box
Assembling your Flame Box is quick and intuitive:
Step 1: Take the two lateral pieces, easily identifiable by the distinct IGNIO branding.
Step 2: Securely fix these two lateral pieces to the base of the Flame Box.
Step 3: Finally, slide in the two remaining side pieces, which feature the iconic IGNIO Flame Logo. These will effortlessly interlock with the rest of the structure.

How to Light Your IGNIO Flame Box
Get ready to ignite your culinary adventure!
Fuel: You can use either coal or wood. For a superior taste and aromatic smoke, we highly recommend using wood.
Firelighters: To easily start your fire, simply use paraffin firelighters, readily available at most supermarkets. These will quickly get your fuel burning.

How to Cook with Your IGNIO Flame Box
Once your fire is burning, delicious meals are just minutes away:
Embers: Wait until your coal or wood has transformed into glowing embers. This is the ideal heat for cooking.
Grill Placement: Carefully place the grill on top of the Flame Box.
Preheat: Allow the grill to preheat for about 5 minutes.
Cooking Preparation: For a better cooking experience and to prevent sticking, we suggest applying a little cooking oil to the grill before placing your food.
Tools: For ease of handling and flipping, we recommend having a cooking tong and a kitchen spatula handy.

How to Pack Your IGNIO Flame Box
After your cooking adventure, packing up your IGNIO is simple:
Ash Removal: Carefully remove all ashes and embers from the Flame Box.
Cooling (Recommended): We recommend not using water to cool down your Flame Box, as the rapid temperature change can cause the expanded stainless steel to bend even more. The ideal way to cool it is to separate the pieces and let them cool naturally for about 15 minutes. They will then be ready to be placed back into the bag.
Quick Cool (If necessary): If you are in a hurry, you can use water, but please bear in mind the potential for increased bending of the stainless steel.

How to Maintain Your IGNIO Flame Box
Keeping your IGNIO in top condition is easy:
Cleaning Frequency: Every few months, give your IGNIO Flame Box and grill a good clean.
Cleaning Method: Simply use kitchen soap and water to clean both the stainless steel components and the grill.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

For the safe enjoyment of your fireplace, it's crucial to choose the right placement. Always set it on a surface that can withstand high temperatures, such as level and stable stone or concrete slabs. It's equally important to avoid heat-sensitive materials like wooden or WPC decking. Due to the nature of fire, sparks can occur, so ensure a safe distance from anything flammable, including grass. Remember that fire bowls and baskets are designed for outdoor use only; shelter them from the wind and never light them under any kind of covering like roofs or trees. Be aware that light-colored stone or tiles might be susceptible to discoloration from the heat, a possibility we cannot entirely rule out, so it might be wise to consult your tile supplier if this is a concern. Currently, we don't have any recommendations for commercially available underlays or grill mats.

Stainless steel is known for its resistance to rust and corrosion, ensuring a long-lasting and consistent appearance. Unlike some metals that develop a patina, stainless steel is designed to maintain its original finish over time. This inherent durability makes it a robust material for various applications.

Good to know:

While stainless steel is highly resistant to rust, harsh conditions or certain chemicals might cause temporary discoloration or surface changes in rare cases. However, it will not continuously rust or develop a changing patina like Corten steel.

Therefore, we recommend to be aware of staining sensitive or high-quality tile or stone floors when using stainless steel products due to rust.

Our products are designed to withstand the elements, so leaving them outdoors is generally fine. However, to maximize their lifespan, we suggest storing them in a dry, sheltered spot whenever feasible, particularly during the winter months. While summer outdoor use is perfectly acceptable, protected storage is always the best practice for long-term preservation.

Also, make sure to regularly remove the ash from the ash pan.

To enjoy your fireplaces for even longer, you can clean it regularly.

Please use only lukewarm water and dish soap, you can also use a foam-based grill and oven cleaner, which is best allowed to soak for a while.

To minimize smoke when building a fire, the key factors are selecting the appropriate wood and using the correct lighting method. While some smoke is inevitable, choosing dry, high-quality hardwood that isn't too thick is crucial. Ideally, use smaller pieces, around 6x6 cm in cross-section, as they burn more efficiently than larger logs. Arrange the wood in the ash pan to allow for good airflow
